Professor Tuan Nao is the Research Program Leader of the Building 4.0 CRC, a $130m initiative to transform the building industry in Australia. He is the President of the International Research Network for Decarbonising the Building Industry (DBI Network). He is a board director of PrefabAUS, the peak industry body in prefabrication and offsite construction in Australia. Prof Ngo is one of the pioneers in Australia carrying out research in the area of modular prefab technologies for buildings and infrastructure. He is an elected Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering (ATSE) and a member of the ARC College of Experts. He received Scopus Research Award in 2022 for Excellence in the Research Impacting a Sustainable Future. Prof Ngo was named the world’s top Composite Materials researcher in 2023.
Professor Chris Goodier

Professor Goodier is a Professor of Construction Engineering and Materials and is part of the Senior Leadership Team for Loughborough University’s School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering. He is an expert in offsite, modern methods of construction (MMC), modular construction and concrete technology, including RAAC (Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete). Chris is an experienced Chartered Builder, Academic, Researcher, government advisor and international Expert Witness with nearly 30 years of experience in all aspects of construction, including contracting, consultancy and research, He worked previously for 7 years for Laing O’Rourke Civil Engineering and BRE consultants and is currently External Examiner at Imperial College London, He has authored more than 200 publications in the field of offsite construction, construction technology, low carbon concrete materials, construction management, and the future of the construction sector, including imminent new edition of his book Design in Modular Construction (CRC Press).

Professor Fischer is known globally for his research and leadership in developing digital methods to increase the productivity of design and construction project teams, enhance building performance and sustainability, and create new strategic opportunities for firms in the construction industry. His award-winning research results have been used operationally and strategically by many industrial and government organisations around the world. He has co-authored the book “Integrating Project Delivery” published by Wiley in 2017, written over 200 refereed articles and book chapters, and given over 200 keynote and plenary lectures, He has been the principal thesis advisor for over 70 Ph.D. students and has lived, worked, consulted, and taught in Europe, South America, North America, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, and Africa.
Professor Richard Liew

Professor Richard Liew is Head of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the National University of Singapore and a Fellow of the Singapore Academy of Engineering. He is internationally recognised for his research in steel-concrete composite structures for high-rise buildings and long-span applications, His recent work contributes to Singapore’s efforts in climate change adaptation and coastal resilience. Prof Liew has received several prestigious awards, including the MND Medallion (2019), Engineering Leadership Award (2020), IStructE Best Research Talk Prize (2017), and HKIE Structural Excellence Award (2013). He plays a key role in developing design guides and national codes for steel and composite construction in Singapore. As a professional engineer, he also serves as a specialist advisor on major infrastructure and iconic developments across the country.
Professor Mohamed Al-Hussein

Professor Mohamed Al-Hussein is Senior University of Alberta Engineering Research Chair in the Industrialization and Decarbonization of Construction and a professor in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. He held the NSERC Industrial Research Chair in the Industrialization of Building Construction and was the inaugural director of the Nasseri School of Building Science and Engineering. He is a highly sought researcher in the areas of modular construction, lean manufacturing, construction process optimization, and BIM. Professor Al-Hussein’s research has been published in well over 400 articles in leading journals and conference proceedings.

Professor Bock’s global professional, academic and research activities focus since 1970’s on industrialization of the construction and building sector towards automated prefabrication, robotic onsite construction and robot-oriented design, His notion of robotic ambience offers socio-technical solutions for ecological, economic and demographic challenges. An internship at Toyota Homes to study the TPS (Toyota Production System) rounded up his research in advanced prefabrication and the worldwide first 50 on site robots dissertation at the university of Tokyo. Since 1989 he was full professor till retirement in 2023 from TU Munich. He co-established first symposia, commissions, associations, journals etc. on construction automation and robotics since 1979 and is member of several academies of sciences, holds various fellow-, doctor and professor- ships since 1990. He co/authored over 550 articles in English, French, Japanese, Russian and German and published the worldwide first book series on “Construction Robotics” with Cambridge University Press since 2015.
